Celebrities in America, be it from the world of music, Hollywood or politics always have to go through a ceremonial pitch, whenever they are invited to a Major League Baseball game. The latest celebrity who got this opportunity was rapper 50 Cent in the Mets vs Pirates game. However, his pitch was way off the mark. People in America, especially in the virtual world began discussing and debating about the poor pitch by 50 Cent and many have even declared it as the worst ever pitch in the history of Major League Baseball by a celebrity.

50 Cent was given this honor of pitching the ball at the Citi Field stadium before the start of the game between Pittsburgh Pirates and NY Mets. When the pitch was compared to the pitch of the other celebrities by a graphic prepared by The Washington Post, it was quite apparent that 50 Cent’s pitch was indeed the worst. Before him it was Carl Rae Jepsen whose pitch was the worst if you compare the distance from the plate, but 50 Cent managed to overhaul that mark. However, Jepsen’s pitch hit the ground before reaching even the line of the target.

This is not the first time that the rapper has managed to embarrass himself in public. Previously when asked about a grapefruit in an interview, he had no clue what it was. However, his latest act has now taken over the first spot. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Justin Bieber were much better while rapper Snoop Dogg nailed his first pitch that hit the bull’s eye. The politicians though have fared a lot better except for President Barack Obama whose pitch went over the head of the batter.
