American model, actress and celebrity housewife Blake Lively broke the news of her pregnancy on her lifestyle website which led its crash as her fans logged on to the site to get more details. Lively is expecting her first child with husband and Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds.
She initially launched a campaign on her website called Preserve Celebration of Family to celebrate that moment when a family is created. As part of the campaign, she posted a number of pictures of happy pregnant ladies. In the end she posted a picture of herself cradling her blooming pregnant belly. The picture was taken by her brother Eric Lively. Lively gave a huge hint of her pregnancy recently when she almost spilled everything about it in Vogue magazine’s August issue.
Lively became popular among the TV audience thanks to her hit TV show ‘Gossip Girl’ which ran successfully for six seasons. The 27-year-old actress has been quite outspoken about starting her own family ever since she had a secret wedding with her co-star from the movie ‘The Green Lantern‘ two years back. The two met for the first time on the sets of the movie and they both fell for each other.
The 37-year-old actor seems to share the same sentiments when it comes to starting a family when he was asked the question a year ago citing their own big families. Lively who was born in Tarzana, California has four brother and sisters while Reynolds has three siblings. The Canadian actor Reynolds who has starred in a number of hit movies was earlier married to Scarlett Johansson and was also engaged to singer Alanis Morissette for three years.
The couple stayed at their Bedford home in New York and have managed to maintain a low-profile. As soon as the news of her pregnancy became public there was an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans as well as other celebrities.
