FIFA World Cup 2014 Qualifiers: Who is it Going to Be?

The FIFA world cup’s group games are coming to an end with just the final sets left to be played, and speculation is on as to which teams will make it to the finals from the round of 16 qualifiers. The latest standings are Chile, Argentina, Belgium, Netherlands, Colombia, and Costa Rica. These teams have managed to secure spots in the second stage, while a few others are yet to battle it out and grab a spot in the next round.

Day 12 will have three group A teams go head on for the two spots in the qualifying rounds, while Netherlands and Chile face-off in Group B to see who emerges at the top of the standings. A dead beat match that is lined up puts Spain and Australia against each other, whose results barely matter as either of them will not progress past the first round.

The Brazil-Cameroon face-off, may see the home country exit only in the event that they lose out against Cameroon, while the Croatia-Mexico match end in a tie as well. Winning by point is enough to secure Brazil a spot in the next round, and the predictions so far have a 25-147 odds on Brazil winning.

The Mexico-Croatia match is going to be a nail-biting one, as both teams can move to the next round at Brazil’s expense, although it is far more likely that the winner will land the second spot behind the host team. Mexico steps in with an advantage in this match after drawing against Brazil in the last time-out. While the Croatian side is no doubt capable, Mexico knows that all it has to do is to avoid a defeat in the match, backed by an overwhelming crowd of supporters. Croatia is also sure to step it up with its attacking onus, and the match could go either way.
