According to the latest reports coming in, actor James Franco was allegedly involved in a racy conversation with a teen girl in New York City and asked her to come with him in a hotel room for a one night stand.
The 17 year old girl from Scotland Lucy Clode engaged in small talk with the 35 year old Franco. She was visiting New York City with her mum. Their private conversation was leaked online subsequently which created a lot of buzz.
News reports suggested that the two met outside the Longacre theater where Franco was supposed to act in his Broadway show – Of Mice and Men. Clode was also quite forthcoming and took an Instagram video of Franco.
Later they started texting and Franco started to ask her personal questions about her boyfriend, age and where she was staying. Soon he went to another level and asked her whether he should rent a room. Lucy though declined his offer. The scandal never really took off as she was underage, but she told him that she would come back soon when she is old enough.
When the private conversation between the two leaked, Franco took to Twitter to clarify his position and also posted a meme of himself. However, many experts are suggesting that this whole exercise was a publicity stunt planned by Franco himself mainly to promote his new film Palo Alto. In the film, he plays the role of a high school soccer coach who gets involved with one of his teenage student and seduces his 14 year old baby sitter played by Emma Roberts.
If this was genuinely a publicity stunt, then James Franco has pulled off a real Houdini act as the interest among the public is bound to rise after this incident.
