Pop star Justin Bieber’s home was raided this Tuesday by the L.A. County Sheriff’s department officials due an egging incident reported by the ‘Beauty and a Beat’ singer’s neighbor on the 9th. Bieber’s neighbor allegedly reported that the pop icon had thrown eggs at his house a few days ago. County officials received a search warrant and meant to raid the house to find evidence of the January 9th incident.
However, while searching the house, officials are said to have found controlled drugs kept in plain sight. In such a case, authorities are allowed to take action, and arrested an individual present at the home. Bieber was not arrested or exonerated. While officials initially thought the drugs to be cocaine, experts are looking into the matter. It is more likely that the drugs present were some other synthetic stimulant, sold by convincing buyers it is a refined form of MDMA, street name ‘ecstasy’.
The Sheriff’s department said that they were searching for evidence putting the pop star at the scene. The reason why the egging incident became such an important crime was that the neighbors complained that goods worth thousands of dollars were destroyed in the prank. Bieber is also said to have been at the center of numerous controversies pertaining to the society within the well-off gated community in which the star lives.
New reports have said that the person arrested at the scene was Xavier Smith, also known as Lil Za, a friend of Justin’s. Lil Za was in another recent controversy where Bieber accused him and other friend Lil Twist of stealing valuable jewels from his residence a few days ago. The full effect of action by the law enforcement department is yet to be known. However, it seems that Bieber continues to find himself in such situations.
