German team makes impressive show against the US

The German team launched a relentless attack in Thursday’s mach despite the fact that they merely needed to pass around the ball through 90 minutes. Many are pegging down Germany as a favorite amongst the contenders for the 2014 World Cup, as they are playing a strong game on the pitch’s both sides. While this certainly wasn’t one of the best performances of the US team in the World Cup, it will not matter as the team has already made it through to the round of 16.

This is Thomas Mueller’s fourth goal in this year’s tournament that came right after a save from Howard which fell tight by the striker’s feet. The goal leaves the 24 year-old footballer merely six goals away from the scoring record that is held by Brazil’s Ronaldo and Miroslav Klose, a fellow-teammate.
Germany, Netherlands and Belgium are among the undefeated teams so far.
