The management of a hotel in New York City’s meatpacking district were shocked when they found out that a video footage of their security surveillance camera located inside an elevator was posted on the internet. The video footage shows an altercation between rapper Jay Z and his sister-in-law 27-year old Solange Knowles, that supposedly took place last week inside the hotel elevator as they were leaving a party. The video somehow got in the hands of the California-based news outlet TMZ and they published it for everyone to see.
In the video, which is about three and a half minutes long without any audio, you can clearly see Jay Z being attacked by Solange Knowles as she was swinging and kicking him wildly as his wife Beyonce just looked on. However, there was no reports of any injury to anyone in that incident. The video became quite a sensation on the internet and led to numerous parody photos and videos.
The video starts with Beyonce, Solange, Jay Z and their bodyguard entering the lift and as soon as the door closes, Solange starts arguing with Jay Z and appears to be talking harshly to him. Soon after that she starts assaulting him physically, the bodyguard tries to protect him, but she still manages another kick to her brother-in-law.
The management of the boutique hotel, Standard Hotel were quite upset and will go ahead with an investigation on how the video was leaked. The hotel management has promised to act against all the individuals who are involved in the leak as it was a breach of guest confidentiality and security.
It was not surprising that TMZ uploaded the video as it is known for coming out with big scoops on gossip and this was one of its many such similar acts.
