Apple Releases iOS 8.1, its Latest Operating System for iPads and iPhones

With this the iOS 8.1 is now available for download on your iPhones and iPads. The latest update in the OS comes with a lot of amazing features which includes the continuity feature as well as many bug fixes. Here is a list of some of the awesome features of the operating system:


This function lets you switch between your mobile devices and use them together in a way like you have never seen before. This includes sending or receiving SMS from any device, Instant Hotspot, phone calling and handoff. Many such features were available when Apple launched Yosemite last week, but there are certain things that are available only with the iOS 8.1.

iCloud Photo Library

The iCloud library lets users save videos and pictures to their account in iCloud. Once you have this feature enabled on your device smaller adaptations of your pictures gets stored on your iOS device that saves a lot of storage space. You can access the library from any of your iOS device.

Apple Pay

The most anticipated feature is easily the Apple Pay. It is a payment service that allows users to make payment for the goods and service they purchase at restaurants and retailers with the help of their iOS device. With this service, the traditional means of payment like debit and credit cards will become a thing of the past as it is a direct replacement. All the Apple devices are enabled with the NFC or the Near Field Communication technology that wirelessly communicates with the point of sale systems.

Bug fixes and camera rolls

A major bug involving the difficulty for the iOS 8 users to pair with Bluetooth devices has been fixed. The camera roll feature also makes a comeback thanks to popular demand.
