The six year long marriage of pop singer Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon has hit a rocky patch, the actor himself confessed yesterday to The Insider. They have been living in separate houses for quite sometime now, but he denied that their marriage was under threat because of his infidelity. The rumors of their separation has been floating around for a long time which has now been confirmed. The couple have three year old twins Morrocan and Monroe.
The 45-year-old pop diva surprised her fans by getting married to a much younger Nick Cannon who is the current host of America’s Got Talent back in 2008 just a few weeks after they started dating. All seemed well when the two renewed their vows last year in Disneyland.
What has caused the split is still a subject of speculation, but sources says that Nick Cannon was allegedly cheating on her. According to some reports, Carey had hired a bodyguard who received orders from her to follow Nick around in Las Vegas to make sure that other girls didn’t get too close to him and vice versa. Carey was apparently furious when Cannon admitted of having sex with a number of celebrities including Nicole Scherzinger in an interview before they got married. During that same interview he also revealed when he first had sex with Carey.
If the latest reports are to be believed the couple are headed for a divorce as some reports suggest that they have been secretly working out a custody agreement over their twins and property settlement with their attorneys. The two of them have also not appeared together for a long time as the two of them can’t stand each other’s presence.
He recently accepted the ALS ice bucket challenge from ex-Spice Girl Mel B. He subsequently challenged Shaquille O’Neal as well as the judges of his show Howard Stern and Howie Mandel.
