Robin Williams Dead at 63 of Suspected Suicide

One of the best comedians of our times, Robin Williams, passed away on Monday. According to the authorities, 63-year-old Williams was found in an unconscious state at his home in Northern California after a 911 call was made. The police believe that it is a possible case of suicide. An investigation is still underway to find out the cause of death, but they believe that he took his own life and he died due to asphyxia. Williams’ publicist stated to the media that the actor was of late coping with severe depression.

Williams’ wife, Susan Schneider, also came out with a statement saying that the world of cinema may have lost one of the most beloved artist, but she lost her best friend and husband and asked for privacy during this difficult time for their family. Robin Williams was nominated for the Academy Awards a total of four times, winning it once as a supporting actor for his role as a psychologist in the film Good Will Hunting. His most recent work was in the comedy series The Crazy Ones that ran only for a single season. Williams is best remembered for his performance in the movie Mrs Doubtfire where he played the role of a female housekeeper to spend time with his kids after his divorce.

In the fantasy movie Jumanji, he plays a guy who gets trapped in a game along with two kids and he has to finish the game if he wants to get out. He was supposed to work in a number of movies including the sequel to Mrs Doubtfire, but now the fate of all these movies hangs in balance. Apart from being a great actor, Robin Williams was also an amazing human being as he did a lot of philanthropy work around the world. A number of celebrities came out to pay tribute to the great actor including President Barack Obama who offered his condolences to the bereaved family.
