Solange Knowles, the sister of pop singer Beyonce Knowles tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Alan Ferguson. The wedding took place in New Orleans in Louisiana on a Sunday afternoon. The ceremony was attended by about 200 people which included their family members and close friends. The ceremony took place at the Marigny Opera House at about 2 PM.

It was literally a white wedding as the bride and groom were all dressed in white and arrived at the venue on white-painted vintage bicycles. Shortly after the bride and groom, Solange’s elder sister along with her husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy also arrived at the venue.
Solange who herself is a songwriter, singer and model was earlier married to Daniel Smith ten years back. Their relationship though didn’t last long and they parted ways in 2007. She has a son Daniel Julez with her ex-husband who was also there at the wedding. Others who attended the wedding included her mother Tina Knowles and singer Janelle Monae.
Ferguson is an acclaimed video director and has worked with artists like John Legend and Katy Perry. He has also worked with his sister-in-law Beyonce and has even won an award for the best video director for co-directing music videos of ‘Dance for you’ and ‘Party’. Ferguson’s father was an army veteran and used to work as a letter carrier for the US postal service.
Solange celebrated her 28th birthday a few months back with Alan on a romantic getaway to Jamaica. Before the couple got married, they celebrated with a pre-wedding bash at the Indywood Cinema on Friday. She stated that she was lucky to have dated all the losers, as it helped her in writing interesting songs.
There was a dance party and dinner following the wedding where Solange performed a dance number with her son. After the couple exchanged vows, Solange was seen leaving the venue in the evening with hives all across her face and neck.
